This was the first release to feature American keyboard player, Solomon Fox. The April 2023 sleeve notes describe the 4-track ep, Rays Of Revelation, as “Ultra smooth rnb+soul instrumentals featuring the keyboard virtuosity of North Carolina-native Solomon Fox and the funky downtempo grooves of Naarm/Melbourne AU producers deliBass.” Interesting composition, not unlike Jundo, in that a skeleton arrangement was sent to Solomon, and the bass later replayed to fit more smoothly. The result was a very satisfying debut, all the more surprising as it was put together over a long weekend and mastered a week later! Hopefully the first of many collaborations for Solomon and deliBass.
Testimonials
"I’m privileged to have worked with Jon on tour in 2016. His skill on the bass and his vocal talent are exemplary and his work ethic is incredible. He’s earned my respect both as a musician and a person."
Eddie Allen, Guitarist - Marty Wilde and The Wildcats. Ex Editor Guitarist Magazine.
"Apart from being a genuinely lovely guy he is also a top bass man. Check out the JENNER, MELLOR rhythm section on the last OUCH album MEDWAY DOG..".
Clive Jenner, drummer - Groove Armada, Lenny Kravitz, The Proclaimmers, The Freestylers
"First and foremost Jon is an excellent bass player with a superb knack for writing lyrical, melodic bass lines for original material. If you’re playing covers, Jon is not only a quick learner – but more importantly when the parts have entered his mind they stay there and will be delivered consistently at any time under any circumstance."
Preben Raunsbjerg, Producer and guiatrist - James Burton's band
"His bass playing and harmonies are second to none in all the different styles of music that we covered and he is the most honest and hardworking bloke I have ever worked with.”
Kevin Taylor, Ouch!
