This is an edit of a Bulldog pub gig in 2009, featuring Jon alongside Kevin Taylor. The act was formed after the split of Ouch! in 2000. Over the next 9 years, it became one of the busiest duos in the South East. As well as playing in the UK, Kev and Jon also gigged regularly in Germany. But this was a typical Bulldog evening, playing in a great little pub in Whitstable, with the boys nestled between the jukebox, the fruit machines and a crowd of enthusiastic locals.
"I’m privileged to have worked with Jon on tour in 2016. His skill on the bass and his vocal talent are exemplary and his work ethic is incredible. He’s earned my respect both as a musician and a person."
Eddie Allen, Guitarist - Marty Wilde and The Wildcats. Ex Editor Guitarist Magazine.
"Apart from being a genuinely lovely guy he is also a top bass man. Check out the JENNER, MELLOR rhythm section on the last OUCH album MEDWAY DOG..".
Clive Jenner, drummer - Groove Armada, Lenny Kravitz, The Proclaimmers, The Freestylers
"First and foremost Jon is an excellent bass player with a superb knack for writing lyrical, melodic bass lines for original material. If you’re playing covers, Jon is not only a quick learner – but more importantly when the parts have entered his mind they stay there and will be delivered consistently at any time under any circumstance."
Preben Raunsbjerg, Producer and guiatrist - James Burton's band
"His bass playing and harmonies are second to none in all the different styles of music that we covered and he is the most honest and hardworking bloke I have ever worked with.”
Kevin Taylor, Ouch!
