Letter From You is deliBass’s second collaboration with Jasmine Duxbury, released in January 2023. A sultry vocal from Ms Duxbury tells the story of the lonely musings of a girl contemplating her relationship with an imaginary friend. This smooth and soulful musical journey, culminates in her eventual admission, “Never got a letter from you, so I wrote my own”. The juxtaposition of voice and breathy tenor of Hugo Lee, on a bed of luscious keys provided by Danae Greenfield, brings to mind Sade, the Smooth Operator herself.
