Jon depped on 3 July 2023 dates of the UK leg of this tour with The Ambassadors, probably the world’s best known Elvis band and certainly the longest-established, having been formed in 1974, three years before Elvis’s death. The band have played with several musicians who played alongside Elvis, not least his original drummer, DJ Fontana.

The show featured three Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists World Champions, including the winner of BBBC One’s The World’s Greatest Elvis, Shawn Klush, alongside 2018 Winner, Ben Thompson and the newest winner, 2022 champion, Victor Trevino Junior.

The final gig was played to 2,400 people at The Empire Theatre, Liverpool, where the Beatles played in the 60s. What a thrill!

The Ambassadors have been touring with Ultimate Elvis winners for many years and it is pretty much the pinnacle for any Elvis musician to get this gig. Let’s hop this is not the last time Jon gets the call!
