Yes! Our Ben! The guy with whom I’ve been playing for the last 2 years – the unassuming guy from Croydon, has only gone and won it! We knew he was good, but, well, now he is officially the Ultimate! Ben has been an Elvis fan since he was a child. He became an Elvis tribute artist at the age of 15 and has performed in many venues around the world. He is an international multi-award-winning Elvis tribute artist and he takes pride in his tribute. By virtue of the win, he gets himself a cheque for $20,000 but, more importantly, a contract with Elvis Presley Enterprises and guarantees himself work all over the world – including, of course, in Las Vegas. Whether or not he takes me with him, or even remembers who I am, remains to be seen!
Testimonials
"I’m privileged to have worked with Jon on tour in 2016. His skill on the bass and his vocal talent are exemplary and his work ethic is incredible. He’s earned my respect both as a musician and a person."
Eddie Allen, Guitarist - Marty Wilde and The Wildcats. Ex Editor Guitarist Magazine.
"Apart from being a genuinely lovely guy he is also a top bass man. Check out the JENNER, MELLOR rhythm section on the last OUCH album MEDWAY DOG..".
Clive Jenner, drummer - Groove Armada, Lenny Kravitz, The Proclaimmers, The Freestylers
"First and foremost Jon is an excellent bass player with a superb knack for writing lyrical, melodic bass lines for original material. If you’re playing covers, Jon is not only a quick learner – but more importantly when the parts have entered his mind they stay there and will be delivered consistently at any time under any circumstance."
Preben Raunsbjerg, Producer and guiatrist - James Burton's band
"His bass playing and harmonies are second to none in all the different styles of music that we covered and he is the most honest and hardworking bloke I have ever worked with.”
Kevin Taylor, Ouch!
